Glass Cage — Time
Single-channel video, 1920 × 1080, Duration 2’37”, 2024

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GsIBIYtYPeE
In a confined room, the performer confronts a stark geometry: a rectangular box that presses, blocks, and restricts the body. This box is more than an object; it becomes a visible burden that shapes how the body bends, stretches, and struggles.

The gestures are deliberate. They reveal how discipline, in the form of social rules, expectations, and structures, limits movement as if invisible walls enclosed us. Yet within each collapse and attempt to rise there is defiance. The performer insists on motion, turning vulnerability into a form of strength.

The work also reflects isolation, not only as physical confinement but as a shared condition of modern life. The struggle between body and box mirrors how individuals negotiate survival, connection, and identity within rigid systems.
Beneath the mask lie countless selves folded by modernity. The fractured reflections in the glass cube reveal how we perform multiple roles under capitalist order—each reflection a disciplined mask, while the body resists with anti-gravity postures, exposing the unseen true self: vulnerable yet resistant, isolated yet yearning for connection.
