OPPORTUNITIES
Strange Homes — “Where the familiar becomes uncertain.”
Rexhibit is pleased to open submissions for our upcoming group exhibition, Strange Homes.

In line with our vision to make contemporary art more accessible through thoughtful curatorial framing and interactive presentation, Strange Homes invites artists to explore the spaces we live in, return to, leave behind, or carry within us. We welcome works that consider how domestic space, family relationships, memory, privacy, displacement, or the body can shape what home means.

Home is often associated with comfort and belonging, but familiarity does not always bring security. When people leave, relationships shift, or daily routines are interrupted, the same room can begin to feel different. A familiar space or ordinary object may carry memories that are comforting to one person and unsettling to another. This exhibition welcomes works that examine how home can become strange, fragile, symbolic, or uncertain.

We believe exhibitions are more than displays. They allow experiences that are usually kept private to be seen and considered by others. Through Rexhibit’s interactive online presentation, Strange Homes brings together works that examine intimacy, memory, displacement, and domestic life. By presenting these perspectives in accessible and thoughtful ways, the exhibition asks what makes a place feel like home and what happens when that feeling begins to change.
